A series of illustrated postcards made for various scientific conferences that representatives of Oxford University Press attended. These would be handed out at booths to promote the scientific journal they published for the respective science societies.

Created a brochure for Raleigh Brewing Co. that sales reps could take to customers to show their products and the availability. The design included a table that showed the beer, its purchasing options, ABV pie charts, flavor profile and availability.

Created a trio of gardening projects for BHG.com's Made By Me Garden video series.  The assignment included with coming up with project ideas, building project, writing how-to instructions, and then being the model for the video shoot. View videos here:

Designed and built rope shelf project for BHG.com. I had to prepare instructions and materials for how-to photo shoot. I styled the shelf for the beauty shot. See the story on BHG.com here.

This logo was created for an Icelandic horse stable that offers lessons and stud services. I developed the logo and applied it to identity materials and a website. There is a horizontal and vertical version of the logo to make it versatile for print and digital applications. 

The NC State University Student Alumni Association needed a design for their 2015 member t-shirt. They wanted to incorporate NC State's quote, "Our hearts ever hold you NC State in the folds of our love and pride." Also, they wanted a design that spoke to tradition and pride in North Carolina. I used a mix of fonts to create a fun type centric design that hits the nostalgic target. The words are layered over a vector I created of the university's iconic bell tower. 

The design is being used for additional recruitment materials because of how well it's been received by students.

This t-shirt design was created for the NC State Student Alumni Association. The shirts are given to members of the student alumni association before football games. They needed a design that allowed for the opponent's name to easily be switched out so the printer plate could stay relatively the same. 

This is project was for the NC State Student Philanthropy Committee. They needed a postcard that encouraged students to give to NC State. I created the illustrations for the card. 

This Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine layout was for a before and after bathroom remodel story. Before the photo shoot, I thumb nailed the layout to use as a guide for what shots we needed to take. This made the production part very easy since I planned in advance and just had to drop the photos in the layout and update with real copy. 

For this Lowe's Creative Ideas project I was the photo shoot art director and designer. This story idea highlighted rope decor projects. I created a unique title for the layout by cutting the letters from cardboard and then hot glued twine around the cardboard. I then photographed the twine letters on the blue painted wood surface so the letters would have a natural shadow. I also made the decorative flourishes above the type from coiling twine and gluing it to cardboard circles of various sizes.

I produced these gift wrapping ideas for Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine and also designed the page layout. I went to Lowe's Home Improvement and looked for products that could be transformed into gift wrapping supplies. Once I gathered the materials, I chose a color palette that complemented the items I found. I was present at the photo shoot to help art direct and then designed the layout.

I art directed and designed a series of project tear-sheets that were available in Lowe's Home Improvement stores. I worked with project producers to develop the concepts. Sometimes I created templates or illustrations that were an online deliverable so people could access them to complete the project. 

I art directed all the photo shoots, designed the tear-sheets and made all the online deliverables such as images, templates and patterns.

This project was for the digital Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine. I designed the layout using the Adobe Digital Publishing System. The title page photograph was art directed and styled by me.
